UT – Your LinkedIn Presence Needs Personality by Petra Fisher

For many of us, LinkedIn has for been a hard bull to fight mainly because we can be easily fooled presenting ourselves differently than you really are. From the start of the presentation, many of us realized that we often miss out on the opportunities LinkedIn gives us to present the many aspects of our personality.

In a crowded room and sold out event in the beautiful Malieban 45 in Utrecht, Petra started and ended with the same concept: How can you add your own personality to your LinkedIn profile, not only to your profile, but also with your interactions, conversations, and choice of language. By being close to who you really are, you give a personal touch to a platform that is often used in a very non-personal way. As Petra said: “Comment how you act at work” and “Whenever you want to interact or comment, try to add some of your expertise”

Petra’s presentation was less about the technical aspects of LinkedIn, but instead how to better present yourself across the platform so any potential contact will have a better idea of what it would be like to work with you. Thank you for your very insightful presentation Petra, we are sure that many of us left the Breakfast session to immediately update our LinkeIn profiles.
